Description: Our client is currently seeking a telephone Nurse to be part of the Call Center teamJob Details: -

  • Title: Telephonic LVN/ LPN
  • Location: Irving, TX
  • Type of Engagement: -Contract to Hire
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm
    This job will have the following responsibilities:
    • The LVN would primarily be triage nursing over the phone in the clinic, however, if they were needed on the floor, they would be utilized for this as well
    • The LVN Telephone Nurse is a part of the Call Center team, but with a unique focus on delivering healthcare to patients telephonically. -
    • This position is devoted to the delivery of care in an ambulatory setting with an emphasis on disease prevention, health maintenance, and patient satisfaction. -
    • The LVN works closely with clinical office staff and non-clinical phone staff to facilitate optimal healthcare and support to patients and their families in a call center setting. -
    • Perform general clinical care to patients, and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards. -
    • Assist with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during treatment, examinations, and testing of patients. -
    • Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepares them for testing. -
    • Administer injections and prescribed medications as directed by the physician. -
    • Observe, records, and reports patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the physician and administers prescribed medications as directed by the physician. -
    • Greet patients and prepares them for examination, screens patients for appropriate information and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests. -
    • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and additional information such as test results in electronic medical records. -
    • Respond to and refers incoming telephone calls. -
    • Instructs patients and family members regarding medications, test results and treatment instructions. -
    • Assist with referrals and medication refills. -
    • Arrange for patient testing and admission to the hospital when necessary. -
    • Maintain patient recall lists. -
    • Formulate and updates patient care plans, and orders, prepares, and inspects patient charts. Qualifications & Requirements:
      • Possess an Associate's Degree, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. -
      • Valid state license
      • CPR -
      • Minimum of two years nursing experience in a clinic environment. -
      • Verbal and writing ability is required to communicate effectively in informing employees of activities and policies. -
      • Ability to receive, comprehend, and carry out instructions; ability to work safely with equipment, supplies, and materials; ability to comply with attendance requirements; ability to comply with Human Resource policies. -
      • Knowledge of EMRs. -
