Job Description:
Salem Media Group's Broadcast Division offers an exceptional
opportunity for a Head of Digital Audience Growth (Director or Vice
President depending on experience). The right person will have a
proven track record of delivering digital audience growth from
social media, SEO, paid marketing, branding, email newsletters, and
other audience growth strategies. The position will be responsible
for developing and implementing digital audience growth strategies
for the Broadcast Division supporting our national and local radio
hosts, podcasters, social media influencers and more. Growth areas
include website, social media, newsletters, email and events
strategies. The position will also be responsible for establishing
and reporting on KPIs that strengthen audience loyalty and market
reach. -Salem is a growing powerhouse in the conservative and
Christian media marketplace. Salem's personalities offer insight
and an informed perspective on breaking news, political
developments and cultural trends. This position is an integral
piece in growing our audiences as the next step in "funnel"
strategy to build and grow Salem's brand.Position
Responsibilities:
- Directing and implementing division's audience growth strategy
in the digital space including social media, SEO, email, paid
marketing and mobile push notifications. Create digital marketing
and social media strategies for Salem's broadcast talent throughout
the brainstorming, strategy, execution, and reporting process.
Manage the team, initiative, and external vendors to implement
digital activations and hit KPIs and goals set for the digital
department for broadcast media.
- Manage the success and efficiency of paid marketing campaigns.
Responsible for reporting, analytics and positive ROI on
campaigns.
- Manage Salem's content syndication across social media,
including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, TikTok, Audible
Magic, and more. Vet, select, and manage external vendors and
manage website development, email marketing, funnel development,
e-commerce, SEM, SEO, and affiliate marketing efforts. Oversee the
development of talent and station websites including wireframing,
user experience design, and feature requisition. Oversee digital
content production tasks, including image processing, video
editing, livestream production, web site builds.
- Establish best practices in consumer data acquisition,
management, and analysis. Grow email and ad-retargeting databases
to use in digital campaigns. Create authentic cross-promotional
relationships and lead collaborations with other online
communities. Develop new digital products and revenue streams for
broadcast personalities.
- Managing collaboration, presentation of campaigns to, and
contextualizing results for a broad audience weekly. Qualifications
:
- 7+ years of digital marketing experience in the digital media
industry
- Paid marketing background including search, display, social,
and native.
- Well versed in managing SEO and email strategy
- Knowledge of Google Business suite (Analytics, Ads, Search
Console, Tag Manager, Merchant Center) Meta/Facebook Business
Manager, YouTube, Twitter, Rumble, Instagram and TikTok, CMS CRM
Software (Mailchimp, Klaviyo), Design and Development Software
(Photoshop, Premiere, Figma, Squarespace, Domain Management, FTP
Clients, Git Software).
- Must be proficient in all current business-related programs
(Word, Excel, etc.) and have a general knowledge of design-based
software, HTML, and the content creation process.
