Advanced Data Analytics is responsible for developing libraries, models, and applications centered around the in-house big data platform. The current scope of the work is Climate Risk Physical Model development, in addition to coverage of the credit risk rating, and market risk resolution plan. The team applies expertise across data management, cloud architecture and risk analytics to streamline the risk management processes. It works closely with Risk technology and the other DART analytical teams to leverage big-data modelling and solutions to facilitate risk reporting needs and drill-down model analysis.

This role on the Advanced Data Analytics Team requires in-depth climate knowledge, business analysis skills, and excellent communication to work in a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing statistical and economic models to assess the impacts of climate changes on Citi's real estate portfolios, and for integrating solutions into the broader firm-wide risk identification and stress testing framework.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, enhances, and validates the methods of measuring and analyzing climate risk, for both physical and transition, to be used in risk identification and stress testing, with a focus on impact to commercial and retail real estates.
• Works with large datasets and complex algorithms to solve data science challenges. Leverages big data and latest machine learning technique to develop innovative deployable solutions.
• Develop models and implement new risk analytics to quantify variance and risk drivers due to climate change.
• Interacts with senior levels of management to facilitate understanding of usage of risk models and inform critical decisions.
• Working with stakeholders to gather and align requirements for data governance and process controls and to integrate models into business decisions and planning.
• Provide leadership and guidance for junior modelers. Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience
  • Sound knowledge of statistical modeling concepts and industry best practices; experience with econometric and statistical modeling or application risk scoring.
  • Expertise in programming, data modelling and data management and proficient in Python, Java/Scala, SQL, Unix/Linux operating system.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences.
  • Excellent communicator; ability to engage and inspire team forward.
  • Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators.
  • Experience working in Big data environments; Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of technological advances. Education:
