About This Opportunity

Responsibilities:
Act as key contributor on the Delivery Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) team, responsible for design, implementation and on-going enhancements of digital products and enhancing the digital experience.Perform hands-on scripting, participate in design sessions, code reviews, system testing during various phases of development, and follow best industry practices and publish API documentation.Work with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable Microservices and API productsCollaborate with Quality, Product and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure and up-to-date with business needs.Perform pair programming, effectively communicate ideas with the team, assist in systems integration, performance testing and product releases.Implement policies, roles, data access controls, monitoring events, resolve system and data issues for continuous functioning of APIs.Utilize expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud based API platform solutions; Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Microsoft Azure CloudFormation templates; API Gateway, Load Balancers, Container Services, Apigee, Confluent kafka, CDNs, API Performance testing, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools;Agile / SCRUM environment.Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in order to evaluate existing environments, establish technology standards and identify opportunities to add value to the organization.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeAt least 5 years of experience in one of the following: Java, Scala or Node.jsAt least 1 years of experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree4+ years' experience in one of the following: Java, Scala or Node.js2 + years of experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs2+ years of experience developing applications with Monitoring, Build Tools, Version Control, Unit Test, TDD, Change Management to support DevOps1+ years of experience in enterprise application development frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot1+ years' experience with Microsoft Azure or another public cloud serviceExperience with Database technologies like Sql Server, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDb, etc
