About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Operations
Manager... In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop team of individual contributors with low to
moderate complexity and risk in Technology Operations
- Manage the operational outcomes of key IT services delivered by
network services and operations, database services, infrastructure
services including server and storage services
- Identify and recommend opportunities for technology operations
process improvement and development
- Leverage metrics to support infrastructure associated with
applications that are highly automated, and latency sensitive,
client facing and internal applications consumed by the
Business
- Leverage enterprise tools to digitize work-flows as
appropriate, asset and configuration management, metrics and
measurement of services including availability SLAs, OLAs, mean
time to recovery, repeat incidents and issues
- Instill repeatable processes that consistently meet SLAs and
OLAs
- Manage backups, recovery and ensure recovery includes periodic
tests to ensure business continuity
- Work with IT risk management, compliance and all lines of
defense, including Audit, to ensure platform risks are proactively
managed
- Institute controls in partnership with Operation Risks to
ensure risk management is sustainable
- Manage the costs, demand and resource capacity for the team
resources, leveraging external resources as needed
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources,
objectives and operations of technology operations to meet business
objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures
- Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and
multiple level managers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for
technology operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and
assist in hiring talent Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience Desired Qualifications:
- IT Service Operations experience within Wealth Investment
Management Technologies
- Trading Systems technologies experience
- SDLC/Agile , Waterfall experience
- Crisis Management experience
- Experience establishing, maintaining, and operationalize the
processes for Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management
- Experience with divisional and cross-divisional Change Advisory
Boards.
- Ability to play a key role in collaborating with other IT teams
in ensuring the highest level of operational service delivery.
- Ability to drive automations, self-service, and volume
prevention/reduction opportunities.
- Ability to serve as a focal point for all escalation and
communication activities related to users and IT teams to ensure
effective and efficient execution of change activities.
- Experience highlighting and escalating risk & issues to
management.
- Consult and coach project teams creating actionable
deliverables in preparation for service transition from project to
operations.
- Ability to define and measure success metrics and monitor
Change and Release progresses. Job Expectations:
- Lead a dedicated Service Desk Pod providing high availability,
high touch L1/L1.5 support to a defined client base.
- Involvement in all aspects of change, execution, and delivery
services for technology programs delivered in the Wealth and
Investment Management Technology Operations and Servicing
team.
- Act as a strategic advisor to peers and program leaders in the
implementation and adoption of agile framework, tools, and
process.
- Drive continuous improvement within support delivery team.
Increase operational effectiveness, efficiency, and
productivity.
- Develop reporting and escalation process for Operations and
Support delivery.
- Develop Operational Metrics to establish monthly Business and
Technology Interlock cadence to review and action on hot spots with
product owners, application development and production support
