Summit's Service and Solutions team provides innovative solutions to customer problems which help reduce customer total cost of ownership. This person is an individual contributor, often by themselves for extended periods of time, who will manage vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs setup at customer's designated onsite locations. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing, distributing and order fulfillment of inventory, and equipment onsite. Daily responsibilities include, but aren't limited too, customer order consumption, processing replenishment orders, receiving, stocking, pulling, and conducting cycle counts. Conducts task in accordance with Summit Snapstock and Summit Onsite work instructions and policies. You are responsible for overall customer satisfaction, organization, and cleanliness of Summit Onsite areas. Follows proper safety guidelines for use of all equipment, including forklifts, and Summit delivery trucks.Principle Accountabilities

• Assist with VMI program start up
• Willing to travel 50%+ around country depending on job location for extended amount of time
• Manage VMI program onsite for length of the job. Could be few months to a year+ depending on job requirements
• Ensures accuracy of customer orders and timely shipments
• Take customer spot buy orders when needed
• 5S all Summit onsite areas
• Manage cleanliness and organization of Summit on site areas. Cleaned regularly, labels up to date, etc
• Maintains awareness of min/max, ROP, and makes changes as needed
• Conduct cycle counts based upon job requirements
• Represent Summit, and respond to customer requests and questions in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as requested for the jobQualifications
  Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Worked in the electrical distribution industry and have a general knowledge of electrical products
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision often by yourself
  • Strong customer service-oriented person. Willing to go above and beyond for customers
  • Valid driver's license to operate a delivery truck
  • Forklift qualifiedBeneficial Skills and Experience
    • Education Requirement: Highschool diploma (GED)
    • 1 year of relevant experience - Warehouse, inventory control, delivery
    • Experience in Audit/Inventory Control department and/or cycle counting
    • SAP experience is a plus
    • Time management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
    • Flexibility - ability to effectively adapt to change
    • Attentive to detailPhysical Challenges
      • Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
      • Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment
