Job Position: Operations SupervisorLocation: Irving, TexasEmployment Type: Full-timeBenefits: Benefits Include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401kBusiness: Freight Brokerage CompanyOperations Supervisor Job DescriptionAs the Operations Supervisor, we'll count on you to inspire the team to continuously raise the bar, while taking responsibility for all day-to-day operational responsibilities.Operations Supervisor ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Director of Operations and Customer ServiceSupervise the daily workload of the Account Manager team; provide guidance to ensure business needs are met and assisting wherever needed to complete daily tasksDistribute and assess daily KPI's for operations teamInteract daily with customers and carriers to ensure existing and emerging needs are understood and metDistribute and assess current SOPs, manage by exception, and identify key opportunities for improvement; work closely with leadership to address potential strategic, tactical, and operating issuesWorking with the Logistics Coordinator Supervisor, ensure that all loads are in the correct status throughout the day, along with checking on loads with improper revenue and loads that are not released for invoicingMonitor emails while making sure response time is under 15 minutes to customers while also being the safety net for unknown emails and emails that are unansweredEnsure all computers and phones are operational daily, ensure that on call/after-hours is handledFacilitate customer bidsHelp facilitate the claim process with our customer basePersonal/Training:Encourage the team to self-identify operational improvements in all modes of transportationTrain and develop employees while understanding how their work relates to the customers' business objectives to ensure customer and carrier satisfactionProvide effective, two-way communication that informs and motivates as well as recognizes excellence among team membersMonitor and approve PTO requests ensuring adequate business coverage is provided throughout the year, and providing relief coverage when necessaryMonitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates Ensure that performance metrics are specific, measurable, and are being achieved at both the individual and team levels Keep a file on every employee for any kind of misconduct, tardiness, missing work, or anything that is not compliant with the Employee Handbook, along with positive feedback and praise from customers, carriers, or coworkersResponsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level Ensure that customers and carriers are effectively managed and held accountable through measurement of performance and continuous improvement, including delivery performance, quality improvement, cost reduction/control, and response timeInvolved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition QualificationsMinimum of 5 year of industry experience in Logistics Brokerage leading a teamStrong organizational skills with attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills and a dynamic personalityExcellent time management skills with the ability to multitaskLegendary customer service skillsWork ethic second to noneBusiness-minded, with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive Wages Plus CommissionOpportunity for Professional & Personal GrowthMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401KFlexible Spending AccountAflacWellness Benefit ProgramPTOWho We AreWe are Growing!
