Full-time Class A Driver
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Home daily
Paid weekly starting 1-1-2021 (Pay is set up bi-weekly currently)

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of non-hazardous material to customer sites using company equipment. This position is a front-line contact with GPL customers and represents GPL in the public daily.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 23 and possess a valid Class A CDL, a current DOT medical card, and have 2 years of recent driving experience.
  
• Be able to pass; a drug test, BAT, background check, a Motor Vehicle Records search, and submit to drug tests and BATs during employment.
  
• Must always use/wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
  
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and lighting conditions.
  
• Maintains a professional appearance and promotes a positive image of the company.
  
• Available and willing to work full time shifts, including off-hours, weekends, holidays, and as needed.
  
• Available and willing to travel inter and intra state, based on GPL s customer requirements.
  
  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  • Operate all equipment in a safe & effective manner adhering to DOT (Federal and State) regulations and company rules and regulations.
    
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of equipment.
    
  • Use electronic handheld devices
    
  • Driver keeps the truck interior clean. There is no smoking inside the
    
  • Ability to work independently and or as a team.
    
  • Work with customer staff, taking directions as instructed.
    
  • Regular contact with Dispatchers to advise of status.
    
  • Maintains Driver log and follows Hours of Service as required by State or Federal regulations.
    
  • Follow all customer and GPL safety and standard operating procedures.
    
  • Maintains excellent customer relations. Acts in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
    
  • Other duties as assigned.
