Job Description:
Position SummaryThis Plumbing Apprentice will be responsible for
assembles, installs and repairs plumbing systems according to
specifications and building codes. These systems may consist of
pipes, fittings and fixtures for heating, water, steam and drainage
systems.Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made

functions.Follow and enforce all The Christman Company Stockpile
material from loading dock to jobsites. Cut and install pipe
hangers Hang pipe and assist in the setting of equipment. Cut,
solder and thread pipe as required using pipe cutter, acetylene
torch and pipe threading equipment Must be responsible for the
upkeep and possession of power tools issued from the warehouse Keep
work area clean and free of unnecessary debris daily. Keep work

EnvironmentThe work is completed outside at the construction site,
renovating occupied facilities such as hospitals, labs, nursing
homes, etc. Located in an environment with regular exposure to
fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause
noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. The
position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as
construction equipment. The job requires they wear protective
equipment when on the construction site (hardhats and safety
glasses). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the
weather and seasons. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of
this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit,
reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch
or crawl and able to talk and hear other employee talking. The
employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds
of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds

Expected Hours of Work Full time, more than 40- hours a week. May
work nights and weekends, construction may, at times, continue
around the clock to meet deadlines. Travel Must have reliable
transportation. Travel to and from the construction site is
required. Long distance travel will be required which may include
overnight stays depending on the project.Required Education and
Experience NonePreferred Education and Experience High School
Diploma or GEDAdditional Eligibility Qualifications Must have the
ability to read and use a tape measure Must have a general
understanding of blueprint reading Must be able to work with
minimal supervision Work requires manual dexterity to use plumbing
and power tools Must have the ability to follow verbal
instructions
