We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training and media production. We are seeking a Construction Manager to add to our growing team. The Construction Manager will need to be able to travel in/around the state of Texas and have the ability to be away from home for long periods of time.

Our Construction Manager will be responsible for rail infrastructure activities related to planning, inspection, and design reviews of construction and maintenance projects. The Construction Manager role requires an experienced leader who is capable of balancing multiple responsibilities and concurrent activities and initiatives. The Construction Manager will be an expert in the field, understanding customer needs and the goals for projects to enhance service/safety, as well as staying current on the latest technologies which, combined with lessons learned, allows personnel to leverage and develop practical solutions for their rail network.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform Constructability reviews and developing/analyzing construction phasing from the railroads perspective
  • Provide solutions to track, subgrade, and drainage facilities issues
  • Conduct inspections walking and hi-rail
  • Development of annual capital and maintenance work projects
  • Prioritize site interventions from site inspection, monitoring and risk assessments
  • Reduce and control the risks associated with railway Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 10 years of track maintenance/construction and/or structural (Civil) construction experience
    • Must be willing to work nights and weekends during available work windows to execute project activities
    • Have the ability to walk: for extended periods of time, up and down steep slopes, and in all weather conditions
    • Must be familiar with and know how to apply FRA Track Safety Standards Part 213 Subpart A to F
    • Must be familiar with and know how to apply CPUC General Order 26-D and 118-A
    • Ability to assess jobsite risks and hazards and enforce contractor compliance with the mitigation plans.
    • Ability to review Site Specific Work Plans (SSWP) for accuracy and common sense.
    • Skilled with Windows Suite (MS Excel, MS Word)
    • Familiarity with Construction Project Schedules Preferred Qualifications
      • Former FRA safety sensitive experience
      • Experience working with multiple contractors/subcontractors at once ****No Agency contact please****
