Job Description:
LHH is looking for a Financial Analyst for one of our
clients!
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in
supporting the financial operations of the automotive industry by
providing financial analysis, reporting, and insights. The ideal
candidate will possess relevant accounting skills and have a
minimum of 1 year of experience in related fields, preferably in
the automotive industry. The Financial Analyst will work closely
with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and
management, to analyze financial data, provide recommendations, and
support strategic decision-making. The position offers a
competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, along with a
comprehensive benefits package including 401k, health, dental, and
vision.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, interpret
financial data, and provide insights and recommendations to support
strategic decision-making. Analyze financial statements, financial
metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends,
variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets
and forecasts, including analyzing costs, revenues, and
profitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather
financial inputs, update forecasts, and ensure accuracy of
financial projections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports,
including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and provide regular
updates to management and other stakeholders.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze and monitor costs, expenses, and
profitability for the automotive industry, including materials,
labor, overhead, and other costs. Identify cost-saving
opportunities and provide recommendations for cost
optimization.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to
support financial analysis, scenario planning, and decision-making.
Evaluate financial impacts of business initiatives, investment
opportunities, and strategic projects.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances between actual
financial results and budget/forecast, including identifying root
causes and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to resolve variances and ensure financial
targets are met.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and
operational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Provide data-driven recommendations to improve financial
performance and operational efficiency.
- Industry Research: Stay updated with industry trends,
regulations, and best practices in the automotive industry. Provide
insights and recommendations to management on potential impacts on
financial performance.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support ad-hoc financial projects as assigned
by management, including financial analysis, process improvements,
and special financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or
related fields, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial
analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive industry financials, including key cost
drivers, pricing, and revenue recognition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
