Job Description Job Description Job Summary The business
development representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new
business opportunities by qualifying leads and moving them through
the pipeline. Identify prospects through existing business accounts
to engage with potential buyers via chats, web-to -lead forms, cold
calling, cold email, social selling, networking, and exploration of
smaller existing accounts The BDR is the first point of contact for
potential customers and is considered the primary lead growth
representative in collaboration with marketing. After identifying
prospects, the BDR is expected to promptly approach and move the
sales conversation forward, coordinating with prospects to meet
one-on-one and/or speak with a more senior member of the sales
team. Base salary range: $50,000-60,000 per year (based on relevant
experience) on a 70/30 plan for up-to $85,000 on target earnings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Pursue leads from marketing,
known accounts, events, web chats, and other channels. Qualify
prospects to determine general size and scope of the opportunity.
Work a full, transactional sales cycle for smaller quick-close
opportunities. Act as the liaison between prospects and the sales
team on larger opportunities with longer relational sales cycles.
Coordinate meetings and keep prospects warm and engaged until
contact with an Enterprise Account Executive is met. Maintain a
collaborative and successful relationship with marketing; provide
feedback to the marketing team on quality of leads. Work with both
sales and marketing to ensure common understanding of qualified
leads and provide suggestions on how to continuously improve and
grow the pipeline. Quickly identify non-sales needs in web chats
and tickets, provide the appropriate information to other
departments (support/billing/etc.), and maintain a high quality
customer experience. Minimum Requirements 2 years of experience in
business development/lead generation. Proven success as a primary
lead generator for cloud hosting solutions. Strong communication
skills, both written and verbal, are required. Strives to maintain
communication and collaboration between sales and marketing.
Salesforce experience a plus. Must be confident and able to
collaborate effectively with all departments and all levels within
the organization. Highly organized and detail oriented. Motivated
to regularly follow up with potential customers while maintaining a
kind and respectful disposition. Driven for success and strives to
